Senior Vice President, Strategy & Planning

DBS Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vice President, Strategy & Planning to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for formulating and managing overall country-level strategy, driving strategic projects, and developing management strategy briefs and reports for the Board, Management Committees, and regulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and manage overall country-level strategy, including the Greater Bay Area region, and drive strategic projects as required.
  • Conduct analyses on key market and strategic trends, and work with business units, support units, and Group Research to develop actionable insights to support budgeting, key initiatives, business cases, and scenario planning.
  • Perform market intelligence analysis to assess peer banks' performance and other relevant benchmarking in comparison with DBS, and synthesize lessons learned for the Bank.
  • Formulate forward-looking assessments of emerging technologies and mega-trends that can impact DBS Hong Kong's competitiveness and market positioning.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to communicate analysis and results to business leads and senior management.
Requirements:
  • Degree holder in Finance, Business, Economics, or relevant fields.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, corporate finance, digital innovation, business transformation/re-engineering, financial product development & marketing, and/or MIS design & management.
  • Experience in economic and business analysis, preferably in banking, finance, digital, and/or consulting industries.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Self-driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to take initiatives and drive strategic projects while managing and influencing stakeholders in ambiguous environments.
  • Good command of both written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
