About the Role

Mace is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Planning Director to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our consult business, you will play a critical role in delivering major master planned infrastructure and transportation developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Maintain Exceptional Standards: You will be a leading advocate of Mace's value of safety first, and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards.
  • Expertise in Local Regulations: You will possess expertise in local Health and Safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.
  • Champion a Diverse and Inclusive Environment: You will champion a diverse and inclusive working environment and understand the importance of the wellbeing of the people you manage.

  • Deliver on Our Promise: You will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
  • Long-Term Success: You will be responsible for the long-term success of Planning performance for specified engines/sectors/hubs, and the overall contribution to the broader company goals.
  • Effective Planning and Scheduling: You will be responsible for ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored.

Requirements
  • Professional Qualifications: Degree (or equivalent) with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the construction, programme, project, or commercial management disciplines.
  • Multi-Industry Experience: Multi-industry construction experience.
  • Schedule Management Expertise: Expert knowledge of schedule management tools and software.
  • Effective Planning Systems: Mastery in setting up effective planning/schedule management systems and procedures.
  • Uncertainty Management: Able to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and able to validate and check schedule management inputs, recording, and reports produced, providing commentary and analysis.
