About the Role

We are seeking a talented professional to join our Asia-ex Japan Greater China Institutional Sales Team. This individual will work closely with senior team members to retain, manage, enhance, and develop Insurance client relationships in the region. The successful candidate will drive commercial impact while delivering investment ideas and innovative solutions to investors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing deep relationships with key clients and our target client base within the insurance sector, understanding their investment direction and providing advice and solutions leveraging our global resources and products.
  • Working with our existing institutional sales team to implement strategic sales and marketing plans, expanding our business in Greater China over the long term.
  • Acting as a liaison point for our Client Solutions Group, connecting our Chinese Insurance business with the rest of the firm, both regionally and globally.
  • Identifying potential cross-selling opportunities and working effectively across other divisions to achieve common client goals.
  • Managing client Request for Proposal responses, working closely with relevant teams and preparing presentation materials and pitch books.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge and passion for the asset management business and capital markets.
  • 10+ years of experience in institutional coverage.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to drive tasks to completion in a highly organized manner.
  • Fast learner who can handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal skills, ability to build trust and confidence of colleagues, and collaborate well with others.
  • Strong work ethic, highly self-motivated, and entrepreneurial.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • HK SFC Type 1 license required or obtainable within 3 months of joining.
  • Undergraduate degree in business or finance-related studies.
