About the Role
The Assistant Claims Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Claims Manager in managing the daily operations of the Claims Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and developing subordinates, handling complex claims, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Manage and supervise subordinates to ensure efficient claims handling and effective communication with clients.
  2. Handle and resolve complex claims, including litigation and direct settlements, in a fair and timely manner.
  3. Develop and implement training programs for the Claims Team, enhancing their skills and knowledge to meet industry standards.
  4. Prepare management reports and statistics, collaborating with the Claims Manager to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  5. Assume responsibility for ad-hoc projects assigned by senior management, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive results.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Degree holder with professional qualifications such as ANZIIF/ACII.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in handling insurance claims, preferably in EC and casualty cases, with supervisory and management experience required.
  • Relevant legal knowledge is an asset.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English, with fluency in Mandarin.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong career ambitions, enthusiasm, ability to work independently, and under pressure.
