Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all general insurance claims in compliance with policies and the Claims Handling Guide. This includes leading and supporting claims staff, ensuring team morale, effective training, and adherence to protocols.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage all general insurance claims within pre-defined authority limits, including complex and litigation cases.
  • Lead and support claims staff, ensuring team morale, effective training, and adherence to protocols.
  • Deliver high-quality claims service, addressing escalated complaints and ensuring first-contact resolution.
  • Review and approve claims (customer and third-party) within pre-defined authority limits.
  • Prepare necessary legal documentation for civil litigation and criminal offences.
  • Develop and implement claims processes to meet business goals, control costs, and ensure compliance.
  • Manage relationships with claims service providers and partners to meet service standards.
  • Conduct file reviews, audits, and identify risks, including fraud or claims leakage.
  • Analyse claims performance, generate reports, and provide feedback on policy issues to internal teams.

Requirements
  • Professional qualification such as ANZIIF/ACII and related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in handling general insurance claims and operation across functions.
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of insurance industry, fraud prevention system, compliance, regulatory and legislative requirements and management information system.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workload and effectively prioritize activities.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to manage change effectively and to influence and motivate people.
  • Experience in delivering high customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese, and proficient in Mandarin.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective interpersonal & communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
