The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new Digital Legal Delivery practice group as a Change Manager. This role could be based in our Hong Kong or Singapore office but covering Asia and Australia. This Manager role will sit within that centre of excellence and will be responsible for a portfolio of change management activities related to the firm's global digital transformation program. They will work in close collaboration with the team's Senior Manager based in Australia and other team members to drive global alignment (as appropriate) in change management strategies and implementation. They will need to develop a strong network within practice groups and other teams (such as L&D) to achieve the leverage and influence required to achieve the firm's adoption goals.

The Change Manager will have the following areas of focus:

  • Contribute to the design of the team's global change management strategy.
  • Contribute to the design of global training programs, communications and resources to enable the adoption of digital processes and tools.
  • Advising on tailored change approaches for Asia, such as identifying focus areas, optimal approaches, potential barriers to change, and key relationships to build and leverage within Asia.
  • Align change management activities with the ongoing portfolio of projects, through close collaboration with peers in the global Digital Change team.
  • Build and maintain a strong network via which they can leverage to effect change. Notably:
  • Closely collaborate with the Legal and Legal Technology functions of the Digital practice group, to effect change through execution of legal matters.
  • Relationships within the wider practice group and business services community (e.g. partners, lawyers, practice managers, PSLs, nominated champions, L&D) to guide them through the change process and empower them to champion digital transformation efforts.
  • Work closely with the practices and Digital Change project teams, this Manager will be responsible for identifying ways in which positive change / impact of digital projects can be measured and captured. This is a critical activity to enable the team to demonstrate ROI in Digital and an explicit focus of the firm's executive.
  • The Manager's execution of the change management strategy should then directly contribute to these outcomes.
To be successful in this role you will have/be
  • 5 years post-degree experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.
  • Experience in people management, showcasing an ability to guide, inspire, and support team members towards achieving common goals.
  • Strong understanding of legal processes and associated technology.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering successful outcomes in a complex stakeholder environment – to encompass but not limited to problem identification and solution design.
  • Strategic, solution focused thinker – able to balance a desire for perfection with the need to achieve progress.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders. Internal candidates should have a good internal network and be well regarded by stakeholders within the firm.
  • Proven ability to contribute to a high performance team environment.
