OCTAVIUS FINANCE is recruiting an ASEAN Economist to cover ASEAN markets. We are looking for someone with expertise in macroeconomic research and analysis, particularly in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The successful candidate will work closely with our investment teams to craft actionable strategies based on their insights. They will also develop comprehensive research reports to inform investment decisions.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Analyze macroeconomic trends and data across ASEAN markets.
  • Provide high-quality research and reports to guide investment strategies.
  • Monitor and interpret monetary policies, economic developments, and geopolitical events impacting the region.

Requirements:

  • At least 5-10 years of experience in macroeconomic research, with a strong focus on ASEAN economies.
  • Hold a PhD or MSc in Economics or a related field.
  • Experience covering India or Indonesia is essential; exposure to Malaysia or Thailand is highly desirable.
  • A background in economic research from sell-side, buy-side, central banks, or multilateral institutions.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of regional economic dynamics.
