We are looking for an Events Manager / Assistant Events Manager based at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong

As an Events Manager, we rely on you to:

  • Work closely with the COE Events Sales team to maximize catering revenue through effective space management.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities for events and catering sales.
  • Handle the full logistics of events arrangement, including providing professional advice and alternatives to guests for events and functions, ensuring all requirements are communicated to respective stakeholders.
  • Maintain good relationships with all related parties to ensure event logistics and payments are well-managed.
  • Provide competitive market intelligence and identify potential customers.
  • Lead, manage, and drive team members to achieve sales targets.
  • Assist in maintaining a comprehensive, current, and guest-focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversee their implementation.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of catering experience and proven records in handling large-scale events with full logistics arrangements.
  • Revenue-driven mindset and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and customer management skills.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant Events Manager role.
