At Check Point, we are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and visionary Cybersecurity Lead Technologist to join our leadership team. In this role, you will drive innovative Programs and Strategies focused on Technical Engagements, providing expert guidance to advance our business across Greater China. Your mission will be to accelerate and deliver best-in-class cybersecurity solutions, ensuring the highest level of protection for our customers' digital transformation journeys.
Big Splash Impact You Make in this Role.Step into a dynamic, high-visibility role as the Regional SME / Lead Technologist, where you'll drive the future of Cyber Security innovation and shape the strategic direction for some of the most critical and high-impact accounts. This individual contributor role demands extensive expertise in network security coupled with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, covering areas such as Zero Trust, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Blockchain, IoT, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and AI/ML in Security, among others. The role involves influencing product roadmaps to meet sales objectives, collaborating with product leadership to anticipate customer needs, and aligning long-term sales plans with customers' transformation goals. The Regional SME / Lead Technologist is a highly visible and influential position that demands strong communication and presentation skills to engage both executive-level customers and internal teams, ensuring business outcomes align with strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively communicate and highlight the advantages and distinctive features of the Check Point solution & industry trends to customers across all levels, including engineering team members. This includes those within the Cyber Security team, DevOps, application developers, cloud infrastructure owners, as well as individuals in the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) team. Moreover, tailor communication for executives at the C-level.
- Lead discussions about industry trends and emerging changes in the security landscape, covering areas such as the Zero Trust Security Model, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Blockchain Security, IoT Security, Incident Response & Forensics, Network Security, Threat Intelligence, AI & ML in Cyber Security, Security Automation & Orchestration, and Data Privacy Regulations.
- Drive the execution of the in-country Systems Engineering and customer vision by translating strategic initiatives into actionable and operational plans supported by data, systems, and metrics.
- Lead the design and architecture of complex network and security solutions, partnering with SE teams to ensure seamless alignment with customer requirements and technical specifications. Conduct hands-on custom demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (POC) for complex requirements and strategic customers, showcasing tailored solutions to meet their specific needs.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in the cybersecurity field, guiding the development and execution of the organization's technical vision.
- Influence the progression of key strategic accounts and customer requirements, driving potential opportunities for seven-figure deals.
- Facilitate the promotion of upsell and cross-sell opportunities for Check Point Solutions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, product management, R&D, and engineering teams to strategize on organizational, solution, and product design. Promote initiatives aimed at improving systems engineering productivity and fostering a high-performance culture, ultimately benefiting our customers.
- Advocate for customers, field sales, and the field engineering team, actively influencing and steering requirements, features, and the development of new products and features. Drive engagement and collaboration with Product Managers (PMs) and Research & Development (R&D) teams to promote and facilitate the development of new features.
- Act as an evangelist and trusted advisor to customers, assisting them in building the best cybersecurity and operational excellence for their organization.
- Provide guidance and assistance to fellow SEs in conducting Proof-of-Value (POVs) to ensure customer requirements align with their vision of success.
- Keep a vigilant eye on competitive solutions and products, contributing to the design and education of Check Point's competitive strategy.
- Represent Check Point as the face of the company at large forums, industry events, and webinars.
- Test and document new solutions, features, and capabilities, ensuring comprehensive understanding and provide training to the field team as needed to ensure effective implementation and utilization.

- Drawing from over 12 years of professional experience, you bring robust engagement and influencing skills applicable to diverse audiences, including C-level executives, Security Architects, Cloud Security Architects, DevOps teams, and software development groups.
- Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal, with a focus on collaboration and providing constructive feedback to internal engineering teams.
- Customer-facing and outbound-oriented, adept at articulating strategic and tactical concepts to teams involved in security and application modernization, particularly in digital and cloud migration initiatives.
- Demonstrating exceptional thought-leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent at mentoring and motivating diverse teams, building trusted relationships with senior management, and navigating cross-functional stakeholders within a matrixed organization.
- Strong organizational skills, thriving in multitasking scenarios while prioritizing work streams amidst competing stakeholder demands.
- Capable of engaging in executive-level discussions and seamlessly transitioning to highly technical conversations around solutions and features for technical audiences.
- Proven thought leadership and experience in creating technical content, including track record as a conference and meetup speaker.
- Proficiency in writing, producing, and delivering technical content such as blogs, podcasts, videos, webinars, and eBooks, leveraging digital marketing and social media to influence and drive conversations.
- Skilled in facilitation, utilizing technology and collaboration tools to gather insights and achieve desired outcomes.
- Hands-on experience in implementing and driving projects, with the ability to roll up sleeves and showcase expertise in Check Point's technology.
- Established expertise in building global communities, running and presenting large webinars and events, along with a background in designing, developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating projects and training programs.
- Industry certifications in cyber security and relevant content-specific certifications.
- Proactive self-starter, capable of independently assessing priorities and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Autonomy and discretion in operations, coupled with an in-depth understanding of concepts and processes driving organizational effectiveness.
- Familiarity with both traditional channels and emerging digital methods for connecting with leadership teams and employee groups.
- Proven ability to influence others, leveraging influence beyond positional authority.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and organizational skills, complemented by a hands-on approach to tactical execution.
- Demonstrated bias for action and adeptness in handling situations with considerable ambiguity.
- Strong and recent working experiences within scalable systems and distributed computing/networking architectures.
- Familiar with tiered-application(s) and network load-balancing for both private and public infrastructures.
- Able to deal with command-line interface (CLI) comfortably from a product-centric scenario and comfortable with CLI automation.
- Comfortable to handle high-level to low-level designs including rack-and-stack.
- Ability to travel a minimum of 40% of the time for business purposes.
