Context
- Manage governance-related obligations under GCDPO.
- Evaluate distribution financial efficiency, conduct in-depth analysis to identify channel and proposition performance insights, and address emerging risks for timely enhancements.
- Assist the Group in profitable growth, emphasizing value, activation, and productivity optimization.
- Offer substantial support across the Group, contribute to strategizing and examining new business development metrics, and coordinate internally and externally to achieve financial targets.
- Aid GCDSGO in establishing suitable distribution governance.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to BUs and Group teams, enhancing sales quality and effectiveness.
Performance Management Support for GCDPO
- Act as the primary contact for various GO functions like Product, Finance, and Actuarial regarding governance matters.
- Supervise financial management tasks, offer deep insights to GEC/GCDPO for improvements in Persistency, Expenses, Claims, sales effectiveness, and quality management.
- Lead performance benchmark enhancements, covering financial metrics and coordinating multifunctionally to overcome challenges.
- Conduct relevant analyses to aid senior management decision-making.
- Guide BUs on enforcing financial controls, emphasizing investment optimization and growth strategies.
- Lead financial discussions to unravel crucial insights for business understanding and action planning.
- Deliver executive updates, analyses, and data visualization for management and board comprehension.
- Stay updated on financial and corporate governance developments and advise GCDPO on interventions.
- Supervise all governance-related approvals across the Group.
- Offer guidance to business units, collaborating with channel chiefs to enhance channel design and risk score performance.
- Professional qualification in Actuarial Science or a related field.
- Extensive experience (15 years) in listed companies, with expertise in financial calendar communication.
- Proven track record in developing and executing plans to drive influence.
- Demonstrated experience in leading distribution teams and managing channel operations in dynamic Asian markets.
- Strong relationship management skills with various stakeholders.
- Customer-centric strategic orientation.
- Excellent quantitative skills and familiarity with insurance digitization.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse cultures.
- Deep knowledge of the Asian insurance market and business operations.
