Reporting to the Senior Manager, Museum Retail Sales and Business Development, the Store Manager will manage M+ Shops’ daily operations including but not limited to staff management, driving sales and customer satisfaction, ensuring house rules and SOP are followed through by all parties, stock replenishment and management, etc.

(Candidate with less experience may be considered for the post of Retail Store Supervisor.)

You will be responsible for:

  • working closely with supervisor to maintain smooth day-to-day shop operations, both main shop and pop-up store, including staff scheduling and deployment, performance management, ensuring house rules and SOP are followed through by all parties, driving sales and customer satisfaction, stock replenishment and management, etc.;

  • leading, supervising and training the team to deliver high quality and consistent customer services to visitors;

  • building a strong customer relationship and brand loyalty;

  • managing and monitoring visual merchandising, maintaining an optimal inventory level and controlling cost;

  • liaising with supervisor in improving operations efficiency when necessary;

  • monitoring and managing cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy;

  • proposing and working closely with relevant parties on marketing promotions; and

  • assisting in other ad hoc task as assigned.


You should:

  • possess a recognised diploma or above in any discipline;

  • have at least 8 years of relevant experience in reputable retail business managing a sizable and diverse frontline workforce; at least 3 years at operation management capacity;

  • have solid experience in retail operations and knowledge of Oracle POS system;

  • have proven track record of driving sales and meeting KPIs successfully;

  • be detail-minded, mature, independent, good at problem solving and nurturing customer relations;

  • have effective planning and leadership skills;

  • have strong sense of commitment and ownership

  • be proficient in computer skills including MS Office;

  • be required to work on shift; and

  • have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
