M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. In Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District, we are building one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world, with a bold ambition to establish ourselves as one of the world’s leading cultural institutions. Our aim is to create a new kind of museum that reflects our unique time and place, a museum that builds on Hong Kong’s historic balance of the local and international to define a distinctive and innovative voice for Asia’s twenty-first century.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing e-commerce and marketing strategies that align with company objectives.

  • Managing and optimizing online sales channels, such as websites, social media, and online marketplaces

  • Creating and overseeing e-commerce budgets, including advertising and promotion spend

  • Analysing e-commerce data and metrics to identify growth opportunities and areas of improvement

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as sales, logistics and product development, to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels

  • Staying up-to-date with e-commerce trends and innovations and providing recommendations for enhancing performance

  • Reviewing web analytics reports to track website traffic and activity over time

  • Creating and managing the website’s content to meet business objectives

  • Identifying opportunities for website improvement based on user feedback and performance metrics

  • Evaluating and recommending new technologies for website development

  • Developing and implementing effective SEO strategies to enhance website in search engine rankings (SERPs)

  • Responsively and professionally addressing customer inquiries and providing informative responses

  • Monitoring order processing cycle and delivering updates to customers, effectively managing aftersales support and handling complaints

  • Undertaking any assigned ad-hoc projects

You should:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related field is required.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a management role, demonstrating a successful track record in leading teams and solid project experience management

  • Experience in e-commerce operations and promotion is essential; familiarity with Salesforce and China e-commerce platforms will be an advantage

  • Event management experience is also considered a plus

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of online business operations and strategy, including knowledge of finance, marketing, and customer needs.

  • Strong technical skills relevant to e-commerce platforms, databases, web analytics, and digital marketing tools

  • Good leadership abilities that including effectively communicating and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams is essential

  • Strong analytical skills and capability to understand and interpret data analytics and make informed business decisions.

  • Excellent project management skills that including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting timelines and budget
