POSITION
Working within the Regional team, the Client Relations Director will be responsible for managing existing business from our existing client base.
The Client Relations Director will coordinate onboarding of new accounts and be primarily responsible for the client experience across the retention and growth of the business. Accounts may be channelled through our UCITS Fund range, separate accounts or within local vehicle types as decided by the investor.
Working with the business development team, the Client Relations Director will develop client retention and growth strategy, oversee client communications including reporting to this client base, and ensure regular updates are proactively provided to their clients. The Client Relations Director will represent their clients internally in all of their requirements while simultaneously gathering a knowledge and understanding of the client; their objectives; decision making process; key personnel and influencers; and ongoing obligations.
The Client Relations Director will need to maintain a thorough understanding of operational, legal and compliance processes that are required to onboard and service an account. In addition, building a strong relationship with the investment teams will be important to ensure that curated updates to clients on their investments are delivered in a timely and comprehensive manner, with an attention to detail and client focus at all times.
Representing the client internally, the individual will be expected to effectively assess and insure mitigation for complex risk to the business.
The Client Relations Director will be licensed with Hong Kong SFC to carry out types & regulated activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the day-to-day support of an existing book of business focused on clients operating from APAC ex-Japan across all elements of their investment Oversight of monthly, quarterly and ad hoc client reports and commentaries. Organise and lead periodic reviews with clients in collaboration with business development team. Partner with client portfolio specialists and investment team specialists on content and structure. Keep internal CRM system up to date with prospect, sales and client information and monitoring for accuracy including developing periodic management reporting. Lead fund and separate account Client onboarding process including understating the complexity of the business and the role of other internal and external parties as appropriate. Business analysis to include regular management reporting to help monitor/assess the team’s achievements and progress towards annual goals; and project management as identified. Participate and contribute to annual strategic planning process including regular review of pipeline, client list and activities driving strategic direction throughout each year.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Eligible to be licensed with the SFC to carry out types & activities. Candidate with adequate industry experience and competence may be granted the Responsible Officer status (upon requested). Strong problem-solving, decision-making and change management skills Ability to manage, retain and grow highly efficient team. Ability to organise and manage multiple priorities and achieve results. Client service focus with the ability to balance needs of clients and team members. Knowledge and understanding of revenue driven goals and their implications Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills Native Mandarin speaker would be desirable and conversational Korean would be advantageous to the role Extensive knowledge and understanding of the investment Industry and investment products and services including operational, compliance and legal aspects Strong organisational and project management skills Knowledge and understanding of Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems Ability to work with accounting and performance systems will be an advantage (knowledge of Factset and Morningstar would be beneficial). Independent, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment. Outstanding, flexible team player with ability to effectively work through multiple business channels. Ability to work with senior management and in a client facing environment, maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity and interaction at all times. Must be effective at working closely with portfolio staff, product specialists, and other investment professionals.
