Marketing and Sales Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Sales Team Lead to join our team in the Hong Kong Office. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for leading our sales and marketing efforts to drive business growth and revenue.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Pricing and Revenue Management
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability
- Review and analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing decisions
- Collaborate with the trade team to discuss pricing strategies and negotiate rates
- Commercial Goal Achievement
- Assist in achieving commercial goals by preparing customer advisories and coordinating announcements for surcharge adjustments or service adjustments
- Work closely with the YSM and Sales teams to monitor process and performance metrics, including contribution reviews, vessel utilization, loading factors, booking acceptance, and cargo rollover tactics
- Analyze service utilization and space planning, including TCR prospect preparation, new service requirements, and customer performance reviews
- Conduct process and procedure reviews and refine them as needed
- Support project implementation and monitoring (e.g., E-sales Program)
- Assist the Commercial Head in preparing reports and presentations
- Other Responsibilities
- Act as a backup for team members during their absence, including preparing announcements on company websites, managing Agreement Builder and Rate Builder, and solving issues with sales teams, approval teams, and other departments
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A university degree in Business Administration or a shipping-related discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in sales/commercial fields, preferably in the shipping industry
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Proactive, diligent, and willing to work overtime when needed
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; Putonghua is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially advanced Excel skills
We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around HKD $80,000 - HKD $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
