Job Summary

The Contract Compliance team at Marriott International supports the Continent in operating within a framework that ensures adherence to financial provisions of contractual arrangements and billing configuration. This role partners with internal departments to establish and sustain a global governance framework (policies, processes, and procedures) to ensure its execution by accountable parties.

Scope/Business Context/Expected Contributions

Contract Management

  • Responsible for timely and accurate entry of hotel agreements financial provisions into the contract engine depositary and updating amendments as needed.
  • Closely coordinates with hotel finance teams to ensure their understanding of contract terms on reporting, approvals, and billing requirements for hotel openings.
  • Acts as key coordinator for various contract compliance processes, analyzing and flagging issues, and preparing recommendation reports for the manager.
  • Supports the manager in validating contract clauses for global contract engine certification and billing configuration.
  • Liaises with the global billing team to set up hotel openings profiles within the billing system timely, accurately, and in accordance with hotel agreements.
  • Able to identify atypical clauses and incorporate them into contract applications efficiently and effectively.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Supports the Continent in optimizing AR delinquency by identifying areas of improvement on billing disputes with the support of contract terms to facilitate the collection process.
  • Prepares monthly AR reconciliation, including AR write-off and bad debt provision.
  • Provides weekly reports and AR status updates.

Other

  • Prepares training materials and arrangements for hotel finance teams for new onboarding.
  • Performs ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Candidate Profile

Experience

  • Requires 3 years of experience in audit, accounting, and reporting analysis.
  • Experience in contract management and process improvements design and implementation is a plus.

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Professional qualification such as HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

  • Knowledge in internal control concepts and practical applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple and concurrent tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Self-driven and motivated, not afraid to take on new tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and individually.
  • Ability to voice out issues and propose changes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including senior leaders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge with QuickBase and PowerBI is a plus.
