Branch Manager Job Description

HSBC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing branch team to achieve business objectives and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement branch plans to drive sales growth, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive sustainable practices and initiatives that enhance branch performance.
  • Coach and develop branch managers and team members to achieve business goals and meet customer needs.
  • Manage and guide staff in the sales process model, personal financial review, product knowledge, and proper sales techniques to expand customer relationships and meet established performance objectives.
  • Responsible for making recommendations on branch distribution planning and reconfiguration, staffing, resource re-allocation, and process streamlining to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive new ways of doing business in the branch network and ensure strict alignment to global standards.
Requirements:
  • University level education in business or a related discipline preferred.
  • Experience in branch and sales management.
  • Proven ability in Retail Banking and Wealth Management.
  • Proven and progressive management experience.
  • Strong business acumen and decisive judgement.
  • Strong marketing, sales, management planning, financial, leadership, project management, people management, and communication skills.
  • Prominent people development mindset.
  • Display sustained motivation, resilience, and positivity.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-pace work environment and prioritize work assignments.
  • Ability to use numerical data to effectively manage branch performance.
  • Solid industry and sector knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of Wealth and Retail distribution techniques and models.
  • Holder of relevant insurance and investment licenses and compliance with related Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
  • Good command of Cantonese and English. Mandarin is advantageous.
