Director, Third Party Governance and Operational Resilience Lead, Asia

The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Asia Third Party Risk and Governance function. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating third-party risk management across our Asia franchise, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional regional team to ensure compliance with third-party policy and procedures.
- Develop and implement a third-party lifecycle assessment risk management program, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulatory guidance.
- Supervise and guide the inventory completion and risk assessment of all third-party relationships.
- Provide governance on third-party inventory and ensure completeness.
- Train and coach team members on third-party assessment.
- Set governance and MIS processes for KPIs.
- Work in partnership with Segment and Global Stakeholders to develop formal procedures.
- Inventory Management and Support.
- Provide regular status updates on the Asia Segment third-party program status to Asia risk and global committees.
- Availability to work on ad-hoc third-party or other Risk & Control Projects as deemed a priority by the organization.
- Interface with internal audit teams and regulatory representatives to provide program adherence, emerging risks, roadmap, and efficiency initiatives.
- Work on Asia Operations BCP enhancements and Operational Resilience related requirements as needed by upcoming OSFI circulars.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 10+ years' experience working in corporate with Operations or risk management, with knowledge of financial institutions.
- Knowledge of applicable Financial Services Industry legislation, policies, and best practices regarding usage and management of third parties.
- Ability to work in a global business setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks within stated guidelines, deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Ability to analyze and organize large volumes of data.
- Exceptional written, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management with communication and partnership in regional, local business levels, and external parties.
- Leadership required to influence and lead team to achieve deadlines and to overcome/resolve unforeseen challenges.
- Collaborative mindset with good influencing skills to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in project management discipline, executing projects by developing execution and delivery plans, and effectively managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
