HSBC is a global leader in banking and financial services, and we're seeking a high-calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Officer, Business Support. This critical role will ensure the smooth operation of our department, working across teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Management:

  • Manage Fusion requests, including invoice settlements and accrual submissions, to ensure timely settlements and tracking of POs/Non-PO creation.
  • Monitor spend against the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and run rate for the Year-End view.

Business Resilience:

  • Handle BIRO-related tasks, enquiries, and provide ad-hoc support on audits as needed.
  • Own the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) on behalf of the Head of Department, ensuring timely completion of activities to ensure compliance at all times.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Act as the department lead on critical tasks that support Business as Usual (BAU) operations, including mail handling, management, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate key department activities and initiatives as needed, working closely with the senior management team and their directs.
  • Support staff engagement activities and initiatives across the DBS Ops teams, as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of key strategic Management Information (MI) by providing strategic inputs and support.

Requirements

  • Excellent writing skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Degree holder with experience in banking and acquiring business, with good time management skills.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical mindset, with good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
