Citi seeks a seasoned professional to fill the role of Application Support Senior Analyst. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and effectiveness of our applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications, resolving issues promptly and driving improvements to help us and the business succeed.
  • Maintain application systems that have completed the development stage and are running in daily operations, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations.
  • Manage, maintain, and support applications and their operating environments, identifying opportunities to maximize potential and minimize risks.
  • Perform start-of-day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handovers to ensure seamless operation.
  • Develop and maintain technical support documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and process improvement.
  • Assess risk and impact of production issues, escalating to business and technology management in a timely manner.
  • Ensure storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly, safeguarding Citigroup's assets and data.
  • Formulate and define scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution, collaborating with development and production support areas.
  • Review and develop application contingency planning to ensure availability to users, minimizing downtime and disruption.
  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing, and deployment into production, ensuring successful system design and functionality.
  • Engage in post-implementation analysis to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Consider implications of technology adoption, identifying risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues, and communicating their impact to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate essential procedures, helping to define operating standards and processes, and acting as a liaison between users, internal technology groups, and vendors.
  • Raise problems to relevant technology and business teams, adhering to Service Level Agreements and ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Act as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts, providing evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated situations.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in an Application Support role, with expertise in installing, configuring, or supporting business applications.
  • Experience with programming languages and willingness/ability to learn, adapt quickly to changes, and re-prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of Market Making and Derivative execution platforms, market products, exchange connectivity, and derivative product pricing is preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues simply.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, issue tracking, and reporting using tools, as well as knowledge/experience of Problem Management Tools.
  • Good all-round technical skills, ability to plan and organize workload, and consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
