Data Acquisition Specialist for South Korean OTC Market

The Content Acquisition team plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of the data we acquire. We are seeking an experienced Data Acquisition Specialist to join our team in South Korea, focusing on OTC fixed income, FX & derivatives pricing.

In this role, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with our data content partners in South Korea, acquiring and managing OTC fixed income, FX & derivatives pricing data, and expanding coverage and improving quality. You will collaborate with various stakeholders across different functions, including Senior/Heads of departments, Trading, Sales, Business Managers, E-commerce, Desk Support, and In-house Market Data Specialists.

You will work closely with Bloomberg internal stakeholders to ensure that the pricing is fast, reliable, and accessible across the Bloomberg platform, collaborating on go-to-market strategies and identifying new opportunities to enrich our data content.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong collaborative relationships with content partners in your assigned coverage
  • Proactively prospecting while maintaining existing content partner relationships to identify and onboard strategic datasets, improving data coverage, quality, and growth opportunities
  • Becoming a subject matter expert in OTC pricing by demonstrating understanding of data from content partners and serving as a trusted advisor responding to internal and external queries
  • Ensuring data quality through proactive reviews of datasets from content partners to provide high-quality pricing data
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand client data needs or trends, identifying potential gaps, and designing robust data acquisition strategies
  • Securing commitment or negotiating favorable terms and commercial models for contributed data, ensuring content meets stakeholder needs, aligns with technical architecture, and follows historical precedent
  • Streamlining the commercial model by renegotiating terms with existing content partners

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits, reflecting our appreciation for your expertise and dedication. This role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or higher, minimum 4 years of experience in sales and relationship management positions in financial institutions, demonstrated experience managing business development activities, and proficiency in Korean for client coverage in South Korea.
