Job Title: Marketing and Communications Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office as a Marketing and Communications Officer in our Hong Kong office.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to support our marketing and communications initiatives in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager and contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and communications materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide events and logistics support for major marketing campaigns.
  • Manage social media channels and develop digital marketing content for e-newsletters.
  • Collaborate with other Communications teams across different UK government departments to synchronize Comms messaging.
  • Manage financial processes for procurements related to marketing and communication initiatives.
  • Use Excel and PowerPoint to create draft performance reports on marketing and communications channel data and media insights.

Requirements:
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and positive team approach.
  • Competence in problem-solving and time management with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in numbers and comfortable with technology and digital tools.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Commercial experience and knowledge of working in a business environment.
  • Experience in event planning, and/or marketing and communications.
  • Knowledge of virtual event platforms and digital marketing channels, analytic tools, and techniques.
Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time, permanent position with a working hours of 41 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to undergo security vetting procedures and have or be able to obtain work authorisation for Hong Kong.
