Job Title: Senior Vice President of Risk Governance
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Vice President of Risk Governance to lead our Risk Control Department in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust risk governance framework, ensuring effective risk management, and providing strategic guidance to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and Maintain Risk Governance Framework: Develop and implement a comprehensive risk governance framework that covers all risk types, including market, liquidity, credit, operational, third-party, and cyber-security risks.
- Lead Risk Management Team: Supervise and guide a team of risk management professionals to ensure effective risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
- Collaborate with Business Functions: Work closely with business functions to ensure that risk management is integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Develop and Implement Risk Management Policies: Establish and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide Strategic Guidance: Offer strategic guidance to the business on risk management and governance.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior management and the board of directors.
Requirements:
- University Degree: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Relevant Experience: At least 15 years of experience in banking, with a focus on risk management and governance.
- Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in risk management, with a track record of success in leading teams and implementing risk management strategies.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in risk management, including knowledge of risk assessment, risk mitigation, and risk reporting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex risk management concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Working Environment:
The successful candidate will be based in Hong Kong and will report to the Chief Risk Officer. The role will involve working closely with the risk management team, business functions, and senior management to ensure effective risk management and governance.
