Assistant Vice President / Senior Manager, General Banking Compliance
As an Assistant Vice President / Senior Manager in General Banking Compliance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards within the banking sector.Key Responsibilities:
- Offer guidance, interpretation, and recommendations regarding both existing and emerging regulatory compliance requirements related to banking operations.
- Oversee the distribution of updates on relevant laws and regulations to operational units, advising on compliance implications for the implementation of these regulatory standards.
- Monitor and assess the Bank's compliance status with new and modified regulatory requirements, including recommendations from regulatory bodies.
- Lead and support business units in executing ad-hoc compliance initiatives.
- Provide counsel to business and support units in addressing compliance inquiries and surveys initiated by regulatory authorities and industry organizations.
- Contribute to regular management reporting processes.
- Undertake additional compliance-related projects as assigned by management.
- A university degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or a related business discipline.
- At least 6 years of experience in general banking compliance, either within banking institutions or regulatory agencies.
- In-depth knowledge of statutory and regulatory frameworks governing general banking, including but not limited to BO, PDPO, UEMO, CoBP, HKMA SPMs, and various Codes and Guidelines issued by regulatory authorities.
- Proficient in both English and Chinese.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Self-driven, independent, and possess a pleasant demeanor with excellent communication abilities, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
