Senior Vice President Private Banks Job Description

HSBC Asset Management is seeking a high-calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President. This role will form an integral part of the Wholesale Client coverage team in Hong Kong, primarily responsible for managing our private banks relationship in Hong Kong as well as the cross-border distribution in Mainland China.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage private banks relationship in Hong Kong and cross-border distribution in Mainland China
  • Establish and strengthen business relationships with distributors
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities, communicating new products and market information to distributors
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive business development
  • Handle intermediary and end-client requests and enquiries with high quality and within defined deadlines
  • Perform Know Your Distributor (KYD) and update documentation as required
  • Manage Request for Information and Request for Proposal process triggered by clients
Requirements:
  • University Degree in Finance or related discipline
  • 8-10 years of industry experience with solid business development experience growing wholesale distribution, especially with experience of covering private banks in HK and cross-border China distribution
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective sales process
  • Willing to travel to Mainland China for business development
  • Good understanding of investment products, capabilities, and operations
  • People person and team player with excellent communication skills
