Job Title: Senior Vice President

At The Bank of East Asia, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vice President to join our Wholesale Banking Division.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding the overall credit quality of the loan portfolio by providing financial solutions in various structures, including loan refinancing, restructuring, and sale. They will work closely with the Credit Risk Management Department to ensure smooth and timely execution of transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explore loan refinancing and restructuring opportunities from the portfolio and dispose of underlying collaterals as needed
  • Assess pros and cons of different strategies with CRMD to develop an execution plan
  • Identify potential lenders and buyers of collaterals through close liaison with industry players
  • Offer funding solutions or match buyers' requirements for collateral disposal to clients in the interest of the Bank
  • Facilitate potential buyers and lenders in conducting due diligence and working with CRMD and other stakeholders for required documentation and execution
  • Build and strengthen relationships with investors, lenders, and other stakeholders in the market
  • Collaborate with other staff in SFD, CRMD, and WBD business units
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Division Head and Department Head
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Banking/Finance or relevant industry with a proven track record in originating, structuring, and/or distributing financing solutions
  • Real Estate or valuation experience highly preferred
  • HKIB related qualification an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of property market and good network of contacts across industry areas
  • Self-driven, outgoing, well-organized with ability to work independently and with different internal and/or external parties to deliver constructive results
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua
