The Hong Kong Palace Museum is a dedicated institution that showcases exquisite artefacts from Palace Museum's collections and collaborates with other museums in research, exhibitions, education and public programmes. The museum comprises 7 800 square metres of gallery space for standing and special exhibitions on Palace Museum's collections of paintings, calligraphy, antiquities and historical objects, as well as thematic displays on world cultures and civilisations.

You will be responsible for assisting the Museum's Exhibition Planning and Management Team to plan and implement the pre-opening phase preparation and administrative work for exhibition projects. This includes working with the Team to manage all tasks leading to the timely and successful opening of the exhibitions in planning, including vetting and drafting of exhibition contracts; managing exhibit lists; creating/managing shipping, packing / crating, installation and deinstallation schedules; obtaining and communicating display requirements and security provisions; making arrangements for couriers' accommodation, per diem; preparing all documents for art insurance and customs formalities.

You should possess a recognised university degree in arts management, museum studies, art history, arts administration or other relevant disciplines. Preferably, you should have 3 years of experience in exhibition planning, management, and implementation or comparable project management experience gained in other fields. You should have solid project management experience in domestic and international exhibitions or other comparable projects. You should also have outstanding ability and proactive attitude to work under pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple complex projects concurrently. Additionally, you should have excellent organisational and diplomatic skills, as well as team management skills when working with large teams with diversified perspectives and cultural background. You should possess strong computer and imaging skills, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat, and project management softwares. Finally, you should possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese; knowledge of Cantonese and Putonghua is an advantage.
