Redress is a pioneering HK-based NGO working to accelerate the change to a circular fashion industry. As the Sustainable Fashion Education Manager, you will play a key role in educating and empowering designers and consumers to reduce clothing's negative environmental impact.

The role reports directly to the Redress Design Award Programme Director and works closely with the Strategic Education Director. You will develop new education initiatives, execute educational content for the Redress Academy platform, and manage competition judges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new education initiatives aligned with overall Redress Education goals and sponsor deliverables.
  • Lead on execution of educational content, including webinars, videos, written content, exhibition display content, slideshows, and presentation scripts.
  • Identify and manage competition judges, overseeing the judging process.
  • Manage the calendar for all education-related deliverables, cooperating with the Programme Director.
  • Identify, manage, and develop key relationships with university partners in HK and worldwide.
  • Lead on live education events, including academies, lectures, and workshops in Hong Kong and overseas.
  • Coordinate with the Programme Director on measuring outcomes against key education deliverables.
  • Support setting RDA competition content and format, including application and judging criteria.
  • Support relationship-building and outreach to designers, retail buyers, and industry professionals.
  • Manage a budget for hiring external freelancers, Redress Alumni, and other service providers as needed.
  • Act as a key spokesperson at events, media interviews, and industry engagements globally, with a focus in Asia.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a relevant business or nonprofit role.
  • Understanding of current issues, trends, and challenges in sustainable / circular fashion.
  • Experience in curriculum development and/or direct teaching experience at a tertiary education level.
  • Experience in a managerial position; NGO experience a plus.
  • Established fashion, textile industry, and education institution contacts a plus.
  • Undergraduate university degree in fashion or sustainability-related subjects preferred.
