Senior Education Director for Redress

At Redress, we're accelerating the change to a circular fashion industry by educating and empowering designers and consumers. As our Sustainable Fashion Education Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing innovative education initiatives that drive positive change.

The role requires a self-motivated, energetic individual who is highly organised, resourceful, and passionate about the environment and sustainable fashion. You'll work closely with the Programme Director and Strategic Education Director to ensure alignment with overall Redress Education goals and sponsor deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new education initiatives, collaborating with the Programme Director and Strategic Education Director.
  • Oversee the execution of educational content, ensuring high-quality delivery across various formats.
  • Manage competition judges, ensuring fairness and integrity throughout the judging process.
  • Coordinate the calendar for all education-related deliverables, ensuring timely completion.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key university partners, fostering collaboration and mutual benefit.
  • Lead on live education events, engaging audiences and promoting sustainable fashion practices.
  • Collaborate with the Programme Director to measure outcomes against key education deliverables.
  • Contribute to setting RDA competition content and format, driving excellence and innovation.
  • Foster relationships with designers, retail buyers, and industry professionals, promoting sustainability and circularity.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, leveraging external expertise when necessary.
  • Promote Redress' mission and values through public speaking and engagement opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a relevant business or nonprofit role.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable fashion principles and industry challenges.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development and/or direct teaching at a tertiary education level.
  • Managerial experience, preferably in an NGO context.
  • Established connections within the fashion, textile, and education sectors.
  • Relevant undergraduate degree in fashion or sustainability-related fields.
