Administrative Coordinator for Cultural Projects

Entry Requirements:

Candidates should (1) possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution; (2) have achieved a language proficiency level of 3 or above in both Chinese and English; (3) demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages; (4) exhibit proficiency in standard business software applications, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as word processing in Chinese and English; (5) possess effective communication and interpersonal abilities; (6) have relevant post-qualification work experience in project management or land administration; and (7) ideally have experience in a governmental or public sector environment.



Note :
For the purpose of non-civil service contract appointments, 'Grade C' in Chinese and English Language (Syllabus B) from the previous HKCEE is accepted as comparable to 'Level 3' in the 2007 HKCEE and beyond.

Duties:
(1) To provide administrative assistance in the planning and execution of sports, recreation, and cultural projects; (2) to aid in gathering accommodation requirement briefs, schedules, and user specifications; coordinating with relevant policy bureaus and works departments regarding project aspects such as design, implementation timelines, and budget estimates; (3) to assist in the preliminary evaluation and distribution of consultancy studies, development proposals, and reports related to major infrastructure projects, zoning plans, and land issues, while coordinating feedback from various operational branches; (4) to help draft responses to inquiries, complaints, and suggestions regarding projects for legislative and district councils, local organizations, and the public; (5) to support the monitoring of ongoing projects and follow up on pre-handover and formal handover processes, including organizing project/site meetings and updating progress reports; and (6) to assist in organizing and providing logistical support for project meetings and site visits, including managing handover processes related to project completion.

Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will typically be appointed under non-civil service contract terms for a duration of 12 months. Contracts lasting one year or more may qualify for a gratuity.

A gratuity may be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high performance and conduct.

The gratuity amount will be calculated to equal 15% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period, in addition to the Department's contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as mandated by the MPF Schemes Ordinance.

Rest days, statutory holidays, annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, and sickness allowance will be provided in accordance with the Employment Ordinance.

The entry salary, terms of appointment, and conditions of service will be subject to the regulations in effect at the time of the appointment offer.
