Entry Requirements:
Candidates should (1) possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution; (2) have achieved a language proficiency level of 3 or above in both Chinese and English as per the relevant educational examinations, or equivalent; (3) demonstrate a strong command of written and spoken Chinese and English; (4) exhibit proficiency in common business software applications (including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as Chinese and English word processing; (5) possess effective communication and interpersonal skills; (6) have relevant post-qualification work experience in project planning or land administration; and (7) preferably have experience in government or public sector roles.
Note :
For non-civil service contract appointments, 'Grade C' in Chinese and English Language (Syllabus B) from previous examinations are accepted as comparable to 'Level 3' in the current examination format.
Duties:
(1) To provide administrative assistance in the planning and execution of sports, recreation, and cultural projects; (2) to aid in gathering accommodation requirement briefs, schedules, and user specifications; liaising with relevant policy bureaus and project departments regarding design, implementation timelines, and budget estimates; coordinating feedback within the Department and with other governmental bodies on land issues and project-related matters; (3) to assist in the preliminary review and distribution of consultancy studies, development proposals, and reports related to major infrastructure projects, zoning plans, and land matters from various departments/consultants, ensuring coordinated input from operational branches within the Department; (4) to help draft responses to inquiries, complaints, and suggestions regarding works projects directed to legislative and district council members, local organizations, advisory bodies, and the public; (5) to monitor the progress of ongoing projects and follow up on pre-handover and formal handover processes, including coordinating project/site meetings, updating progress reports, and compiling defect lists; and (6) to assist in organizing and providing logistical support for project meetings, site meetings (including construction sites), and managing handover matters related to project completion.
Terms of Appointment:
The successful candidates will typically be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a duration of 12 months. Contracts lasting one year or more may qualify for a gratuity.
A gratuity may be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the contract with a consistently high standard of performance and conduct.
Such gratuity will be calculated to ensure that, when combined with the Department's contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme, it equals 15% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period.
Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, and sickness allowance will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
The entry salary, terms of appointment, and conditions of service offered are subject to the prevailing provisions at the time of the appointment offer.
