The Head of Technology Outcomes for HSBC's GO&A WPB Business is a pivotal role that plays a crucial part in driving the long-term strategic direction of the Wealth & Personal Banking (WPB) Business.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ExCo), this leader is accountable for leading and delivering the end-to-end Technology Product and Service Outcomes to support the strategic objectives of the GO&A WPB Business.

The successful candidate will have a blend of strong product, technology, and commercial expertise to drive GO&A Products and Service through innovation and incubation of solutions for internal customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Shaping and delivering end-to-end GO&A Technology Product and Services to meet the WPB Business needs.
  • Identifying new opportunities or enhancements to deliver reusable technologies and capabilities that can be leveraged globally.
  • Partnering with stakeholders in cross-functional teams to develop requirements and achieve Product objectives.
  • Understanding regulations and localisation needs impacting the business and establishing global implementations.

Additionally, the Head of Technology Outcomes will be responsible for:

  • Driving resilience and reliability in Products and Services through the underlying technology.
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including the WPB Business and Regions/Markets.
  • Driving innovation and incubation of Solutions to deliver benefits for the WPB Business.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure operation within acceptable risk thresholds.

For this role, we are seeking a high caliber professional with:

  • Proven experience in a Products or Services delivery role, as a Technology Value Stream Lead, Senior Product Owner, or other, ideally from a financial services organisation background.
  • Technical knowledge gained from working across a variety of technologies and solutions.
  • Proven experience of leading Technology Engineering teams.
  • Proven experience of partnering effectively with Executive Level business stakeholders, Group General Managers, and making commercially astute decisions.
  • Proven experience of applying risk assessment and management principles and solving or pre-empting issues.
