Job Summary

Lidl in Deutschland is seeking a highly skilled Production Support Specialist to join our team in the Production Support - Small Domestic Appliances (SDA) department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of the critical path by defending the pre-production line and ensuring timely delivery of products.
  • Drive cost-effective and quality-controlled production through key building blocks such as handover meetings, pre-production meetings, inspection report analysis, corrective action plans, risk analysis, production status monitoring, and follow-up.
  • Ensure all production occurs in line with Lidl's strict Ethical Sourcing Policies and defend the PP Line by working as far back as the Order Confirmation stage to ensure the process starts on time.
  • Work across functions to ensure sampling is completed in line with agreed factory TnA and own mass production start date and follow-up.
  • Provide manufacturing technical support and procedures to improve quality levels, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve production efficiencies when identified.
  • Ascertain 'true bottleneck or issues' and set up improvement plans with any factory.
  • Notify key stakeholders of any major or critical production and quality issues identified.
  • Work closely with the QA team to resolve any critical or major issues found during testing.
  • Conduct and/or support pre-production meetings in the factory.
  • Work closely with our agencies and QC's in all countries to ensure they follow the aligned way of working and hold factories to those requirements.
  • Perform unannounced audits and inspections when requested and issue CAP's.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in Quality roles and factory inspection practice is an added advantage.
  • Strong technical expertise in various hardgoods.
  • Autonomous, proactive, detailed, and commercially minded.
  • High degree of work ethic and integrity.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and fluent in Mandarin. Additional languages are an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ocassional travel may be required.
