As a Private Banker, Account Manager at Deutsche Bank, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality services to our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include acting as first-level control and providing quality assurance in the Know-Your-Customer (KYC) process. You will also provide subject matter expertise to Account Control Officers (ACOs) on complex account structures, advise front office staff on legal documents during the New Customer Acceptance (NCA) and KYC review process, and act as a sparring partner for client ACOs in all Anti-Money Laundering/KYC related topics.
Key Responsibilities- Acting as first-level control and providing quality assurance in the KYC process.
- Providing subject matter expertise to ACOs on complex account structures.
- Advising front office staff on legal documents during the NCA and KYC review process.
- Acting as a sparring partner for client ACOs in all AML/KYC related topics.
- Supporting ACOs in completing the KYC information accurately.
- Overseeing and monitoring the entire KYC process within front office, including upcoming regular reviews.
- Acting as intermediary between front office and cross-functions (e.g., AFC, Neutral Control/Middle Office, Legal etc.), where required.
- Providing specialist advice to Relationship Managers (RMs), e.g., on documentation/Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Checking quality, completeness, and correctness of client files/KYC forms.
- Setting up case management teams (RM, COBS, iCAT, AFC, DCRO, COO etc.) subject to the complexity of the case.
- Collecting documents directly with clients if requested.
- Inputting account structure in client onboarding systems and updating KYC questionnaires based on information provided by Relationship Managers (RMs) if requested.
- Requesting pre-screening of names as applicable.
- Monitoring, tracking, and escalating cases as appropriate and sharing metrics on a weekly basis to RMs/TH/GH.
- Leading to focus and streamline the account opening process and advising front office staff on legal documents during the NCA and KYC review process.
- Providing expert advice to Client Advisors on complex account structures and KYC/AML cases faced by the business.
- To understand Bank Global KYC/AML Standards, Account Documentation procedures, Local Laws and Regulations, and implement related control processes.
- Escalating operational, regulatory, and other risks to line managers and functional leads as appropriate; contributing to the development and implementation of mitigation or control solutions.
- Degree majoring in Banking, Accountancy, or Business Administration or related discipline preferred.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in operations, account documentation, risk management, sophisticated AML/KYC knowledge, and experience in banking or financial industry for at least 3-5 years.
- Ability to develop good knowledge of the customer base with sensitivity to specific customer needs.
- Mature, strong analytical, and problem-solving ability.
- Multi-tasking effectively in a dynamic environment, appreciating diversity, and following through assignments within tight schedules.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships with all levels.
