Accounting Operations Specialist

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support with the administration and accounting of a portfolio of clients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the day-to-day operations of the funds are run smoothly and efficiently;
  • Coordinating with third parties, including investors and fund managers, to ensure timely communication and follow-up;
  • Preparing periodic Net Asset Value calculations and year-end financial statements, as well as managing audits and reviewing other fund-related reports;
  • Handling fund accounts and preparing periodic reports and regulatory reports for fund entities;
  • Coodinating investor servicing activities, including on-boarding, capital calls, distributions, and shareholder statements;
  • Supporting Senior Officers and Managers in ensuring quality work is delivered to clients;
  • Liaising with independent tax specialists, lawyers, and notaries during the setup process of new funds;
  • Taking on additional responsibilities and tasks as required by Senior Officers, Managers, or clients.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A strong academic background;
  • Newly qualified or partially qualified Accountant (e.g. HKICPA/ACCA/CPAA/AICPA/CIMA/ACA);
  • Prior knowledge or experience working in financial services, especially with alternative investment funds (including Private Equity and Real Estate funds), is desirable;
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English; fluency in any other Asian languages, such as Chinese, Japanese, or Korean, will be considered an asset;
  • You possess team spirit with the ability to work independently using your own initiative when appropriate;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet a range of deadlines;
  • Maturity and attention to detail;
  • High level of IT literacy with strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel and Word;
  • Knowledge of eFront and Yardi systems would be a distinct advantage;
