We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Operations Specialist with expertise in insurance to join our team at One Arrow Consulting Group.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing daily policy payments, operating expense payments, and corresponding accounting vouchers. They will also handle administrative tasks within the Finance Operation team, coordinate with the Operations team to resolve outstanding policy payments, and work with the investment team on fund trading payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process daily policy payments and operating expense payments with accurate accounting vouchers.
- Handle various administrative tasks, including communication with vendors and addressing their queries.
- Coordinate with the Operations team to resolve outstanding policy payments.
- Work with the investment team to execute fund trading payments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for bank-related issues, including outstanding cheques and other tasks.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, such as preparing and posting manual journals in a timely manner with accuracy.
- Contribute to additional month-end closing tasks, including inter-company balance reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
- Participate in quarterly self-control assessments and policy returns to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in finance operations is necessary.
- Prior experience in insurance accounting is an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese communication skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to collaborate with project managers, external customers, and Head Office staff.
- Ability to complete daily finance operations functions efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Capacity to work independently, under pressure, and meet demanding timelines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Oracle and LifeAsia is a plus.
About the Role:
This Contract Finance Operations Specialist position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our clients and grow your professional network.
