We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Asia Operations team at CastleGate Forwarding. As the Head of Asia Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of freight movement in Asia, including booking, agent management, carrier allocation, carrier management, operation of consolidation warehouses, and outbound customs/documentation management.
This is a senior leadership role that requires a deep understanding of supply chain and logistics operations, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of 30+ professionals responsible for Asia Operations
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage relationships with third-party consolidation facilities, origin agents, and data entry associates
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction
- Develop and maintain industry expertise, staying up-to-date on trends and best practices
- Provide input into the development and implementation of partner provider KPI/metrics
- Manage and drive a diverse roadmap of tech initiatives to build the foundation of the supply chain solutions business
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain and logistics
- 5+ years of management experience with a track record of leadership and results
- Full professional proficiency in English and Mandarin
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to manage through ambiguous and subjective situations
- Ability to think creatively and critically
- Experience managing and executing large projects
- Value-obsessed strategic GM-mindset
- Proficiency with analyzing large data sets
