Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial and operational performance of Group and Local Business Units (LBUs), identifying necessary actions through comprehensive variance analysis.
  • Manage health protection pricing evaluations and product approvals, adhering to Prudential's product governance framework.
  • Establish essential data elements (such as data sources and requirements) to enhance health business operations, collaborating on the development of analytical models.
  • Innovate pricing strategies by leveraging extensive data collection and advanced analytical techniques.
  • Create analytical solutions tailored to high-priority health use cases defined by LBUs and GHO Health.
  • Assist LBUs in adapting and implementing analytical tools for local operations.
  • Extract critical insights and convert them into actionable business strategies and initiatives.

Performance Management Duties

  • Develop a robust governance framework for performance management, establishing clear metrics and targets specific to health across LBUs.
  • Aggregate data reported by LBUs on financial and operational metrics, synthesizing insights for management decision-making.
  • Monitor health product performance across LBUs, collaborating with them to identify areas needing remedial actions and additional GHO support.
  • Define comprehensive guidelines for health product reviews and approvals, including performance review frequencies and approval thresholds.
  • Participate in product committees to oversee health product pricing evaluations and approvals for LBUs.
  • Provide guidance and support to LBUs in the development and pricing of health products.

  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to effectively engage with LBU teams and appreciate the cultural nuances in various markets.
  • Strong influencing skills to effectively partner with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Adeptness in navigating ambiguity within a rapidly changing market and evolving internal structures.
  • Learning agility to quickly adapt to the complexities of the Prudential organization and the intricacies of health insurance.
  • Digital orientation with a solid understanding of leveraging digital innovation to deliver leading health data and analytics solutions through technology partnerships.
