Role Overview

The Retail Store Operations Manager drives profitability and achieves sales targets in stores within their area of responsibility. This role is responsible for operational excellence, managing resources, and providing customers with a leading shopping experience. The incumbent assumes most District Manager responsibilities for a limited span of stores within the area of responsibility.

Your Impact
  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive, omni-channel strategic plan to achieve planned sales and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  2. Analyze reporting and daily sales trends to make real-time strategic and tactical business decisions, driving results.
  3. Promote the business through customer service, human resources, inventory control, and store environment.
Brand Image & Customer Experience
  1. Serve as the leader on duty and model the brand's athlete service standards and selling behaviors.
  2. Foster loyalty through in-store experience, data capture, endless aisle, and other omni-channel solutions.
Retail Operations
  1. Oversee the handling of merchandise, shipment receipt, processing, floor sets, markdown, and replenishment.
  2. Review store audit compliance and ensure shrink results meet company loss prevention standards.
  3. Support and evaluate Retail Store Managers in adjustments to payroll and schedule to achieve payroll & sales targets.
  4. Collaborate with Store Managers on performance management tools and business strategy.
  5. Monitor resources and provide recommendations/input on the annual operating budget.
  6. Provide performance feedback and unit strategy input to Store Leadership for all stores within the area of responsibility.
  7. Motivate and inspire the team through Under Armour's Values, Core Competencies, and functional behaviors.
  8. Communicate expectations for achieving brand, performance, and behavior standards.
  9. Build relationships with teammates and leadership to implement positive change.
  10. Conduct Store leadership huddles and empower leaders to hold Team Shift Huddles.
  11. Manage store census targets to support optimal staffing for performance, partnering with the talent team to recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing store teams.
  12. Mentor the store leadership team in completing Division of Responsibilities to develop future leaders.
  13. Provide performance insights to Store Managers through ongoing feedback and formal reviews.
  14. Develop succession plans creating career paths for teammates to pursue internal opportunities.
  15. Monitor output of direct reports across stores and completion of daily responsibilities.
  16. Collaborate with Store Managers and connect with the District Manager to resolve teammate challenges.
  17. Support Store Managers in the annual review process for teammates.
  18. Engage in compensation decisions with the District Manager.
  19. Drive teammate engagement by recognizing and rewarding performance and giving feedback/action planning on substandard performance.
Qualifications
  1. Expert-level knowledge in the retail industry.
  2. Fluency in local language and English.
  3. Basis understanding of employment laws, including compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  4. Strong communication, presentation, delegation, and follow-up skills, along with a customer service focus.
  5. Robust prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to analyze business trends and reporting to drive sales.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  8. Demonstrated proficiency in sales generation, training, and leading of functional teams.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a sports/fashion customer & commercial-focused retail environment.
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of retail leadership experience.
  3. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  4. Ability to travel between stores.
Estimated Salary Range

$60,000-$90,000 per year.
