Department: Product Creation Development Reports to: Director, Commercialization Your Opportunity at Arc'teryx: As the Commercialization Team Leader, you will be the go-to expert for your specific product category. Your deep understanding of the category's unique requirements will empower you to lead, support, and mentor a team of specialists dedicated to developing and delivering the necessary technical specifications and factory capabilities to ensure products are ready for market and production. You will strategically advise on sustainable practices to enhance speed, optimize overall product costs, and effectively utilize supply chain efficiencies, all while maintaining product integrity, functionality, and performance.

Meet Your Future Team: The Commercialization team is driven by a passion for leadership and team development. You will collaborate closely with a group of technical specialists and the Product Creation Development department throughout the product lifecycle. Strong relationships with our vendors will be essential to ensure that sourcing, development, and product integrity strategies are successfully implemented.

Core Responsibilities:

Build, lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of Technical Commercialization Specialists responsible for managing the readiness processes at our manufacturing facilities. Oversee workload distribution among team members and ensure calendar requirements are met to adhere to commercialization timelines. Train and guide the team of specialists to enhance scalability, efficiency, and quality within our manufacturing operations. Manage the product specification process from fit approval to bulk production, facilitating accurate raw material planning to meet quality and delivery standards. Ensure that seasonal carryover and transition processes align with Supply Chain needs and that seasonal updates are executed effectively. Report on and drive improvements in key performance metrics that enhance speed, quality, cost, and efficiency. Maintain documentation processes to provide detailed information for the accurate production of finished goods, manage an up-to-date Bill of Materials (BOM) database, and support quality assurance processes. Collaborate with Sourcing to propose strategies that optimize total product costs and support margin objectives. Work with the Sourcing team to assess new factory partnerships that support growth and flexibility within our supply chain. Partner with Design, Product Creation Development, Supply Chain, and external vendors to drive continuous improvements in our development-to-manufacturing processes. Ensure that all testing requirements are consistently met in collaboration with the Compliance team. Foster strong partnerships with our vendor base to ensure clarity in expectations and achievable deliverables. Uphold Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the supply chain. Engage with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team for quarterly reviews and training initiatives.

Future Opportunities:

Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) between Product Creation Development and Commercialization. Participate in building and expanding a team of technical specialists for relevant product categories. Receive training on our development and quality standards, and plan training for future team members. Collaborate on cross-functional projects to enhance overall team effectiveness.

Are You the Right Fit?

You possess a Bachelor's degree in Apparel or Textile Design, Technology, Merchandising, or Engineering. You have over 8 years of experience in sourcing, design, development, production, or merchandising, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. You demonstrate a strong understanding of apparel construction, material properties, pattern making, costing, and quality assurance. You have a proven track record of problem-solving and interpreting design intent for product innovation. You exhibit strong communication skills and attention to detail. You are adept at managing multiple priorities and possess strong computer skills in relevant software. You inspire your team with a clear vision and foster commitment to shared objectives. You are proactive in identifying issues and developing effective solutions. You thrive in dynamic environments and balance autonomy with collaboration.
