Business Continuity and Incident Management Executive

To oversee the comprehensive Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework across the organization, ensuring adherence to established policies and local regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the successful execution of the BCM program within the organization, providing assurance and oversight over risk and control measures undertaken by various departments.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Contingency Risk, possessing a thorough understanding of pertinent operational needs and policies.
- Offer strategic advice and support to departments regarding business continuity strategies and frameworks.
- Lead Major Incident Management initiatives, coordinating responses to significant live incidents.
- Enhance the organization’s recovery capabilities by spearheading the assessment of Business Impact Analysis (BIA), crafting Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and developing associated strategies.
- Establish and manage BCP testing protocols, conducting evaluations post-testing to identify areas for improvement in respective BIA and BCP.
- Collaborate with departments to execute mandatory and ad hoc Business Continuity Planning activities.
- Conduct and present findings from 2nd Line of Defense reviews, thematic assessments, and manage the implementation of new tools, providing regional support to departments.
- Compile and present business continuity management reports for internal management and regulatory bodies.
- Lead and facilitate regular BCP drills to ensure the effective and timely implementation of relevant controls.
- Assist the BCP Commander during unforeseen events in BCP scenarios.
- A university degree in Business Administration, Operational Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in business continuity management, operational risk, or related areas, with a solid understanding of key functional processes.
- In-depth knowledge of local regulatory requirements pertaining to Operational Risk and Operational Resilience.
- Familiarity with business continuity planning and operational risk management, alongside a good grasp of banking operations and processes.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and sustaining risk management processes and controls.
- Strong understanding of information systems, technology infrastructure, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Self-driven with robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities, focused on achieving results.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals at various organizational levels.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
