The Role

We're seeking a highly motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices, along with a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Statement Preparation

Assist in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.

Account Reconciliation

Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy.

Financial Record Maintenance

Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payment records.

Support Audit Processes

Assist in the preparation of information for internal and external audits, addressing queries and providing necessary documentation.

Transaction Processing

Handle day-to-day financial transactions, including processing payments, managing expenses, and tracking income.

Tax Compliance

Support the preparation and filing of tax returns and compliance documentation to ensure adherence to company and legal requirements.

Expense Monitoring

Track and review company expenses, providing analysis and suggestions for cost savings.

Budgeting Assistance

Assist in the preparation of budgets by collecting and analysing financial data.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with other finance team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely reporting.

Administrative Support

Perform various administrative tasks related to finance, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining databases.

Requirements

  • Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience

1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance; fresh graduates will also be considered.

Skills

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar) is preferred.

Analytical Skills

Ability to analyse financial data and prepare reports accurately.

Attention to Detail

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work undertaken.

Communication Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese to interact with team members and stakeholders.

Organizational Skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Teamwork

Willingness to collaborate and support a diverse team.

Adaptability

Openness to learning new tools, processes, and systems as needed.
