This team is focused on enhancing professional investment skills aimed at driving superior alpha generation and refining team investment processes through the analysis, consolidation, and dissemination of best practices; training the investment team; and preparing analyses and data in collaboration with partners across the firm.

Role Overview

The Point72 Investment Professional Development Team is in search of a seasoned financial expert with a dedication to mentorship to guide and cultivate aspiring investment analysts within our Point72 Academy program. As the Academy International Manager, you will be instrumental in enhancing the training of our Academy Associates based in Europe, the UK, and Asia by developing and delivering tailored learning solutions. You will have the chance to directly influence the program's curriculum: conducting research, analyzing data, coordinating training sessions, and organizing events – all while functioning within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leverage your extensive buyside experience to instruct and mentor analysts on financial modeling techniques. Create, develop, and deliver compliance-approved content (both in-person and virtual) to enhance the core modeling, fundamental research, and analytical capabilities of Academy analysts. Conduct thorough company research to prepare compliant training materials, including reviewing news updates, sell-side reports, company filings, earnings transcripts, and more. Stay informed about industry trends, market shifts, and regulatory changes to ensure the training curriculum remains relevant and aligned with best practices. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Academy management and discretionary investment professionals, to align training initiatives with the organization's overall growth strategy and objectives. Provide academic support and training to Academy analysts on investment theses, fundamental research, and pitching investment recommendations: Offer specific written and verbal feedback on investment analyses and models, and identify training needs to create targeted programs addressing specific skill gaps. Collaborate on curriculum planning and the execution of multiple overlapping classes and programs. Coordinate recruitment efforts with members of the Academy's recruiting team and assist in producing evaluation materials as necessary. Partner with Compliance to develop presentation materials for Academy marketing, recruiting, and reporting to Senior Management. Work closely with Compliance on all aspects to ensure adherence to applicable policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

Educate and guide others on discretionary investing, curriculum development, and company/stock case studies. Act as a thought partner, continuously brainstorming, synthesizing, and sharing ideas on how to effectively elevate analysts' skill levels. Collaborate with Compliance across all facets of the Academy. Innovate and iterate on new initiatives quickly and transparently. Engage with a diverse array of key stakeholders (PMs, Analysts, Senior Management, etc.). Apply project management skills to oversee timelines and key deliverables, while monitoring risks during the development and implementation of learning programs.

Qualifications:

Over 10 years of experience in capital markets and/or learning and development within investment research, demonstrating a successful track record along with strong financial modeling and financial statement analysis skills. Fluency in English and Chinese; proficiency in Japanese is a plus. A strong passion for equity markets, investing, and mentoring others – providing feedback on investment processes and pitching.
