About the Program

The Point72 Academy Investment Analyst Program is a comprehensive training initiative designed to equip upcoming graduates with the fundamental research and analysis skills required to succeed as investment analysts. This program is tailored to foster creativity, autonomy, and analytical rigor, providing participants with a unique opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Program Highlights
  • Formal Training: Eight months of structured training, led by experienced faculty, investment professionals, and professors from top universities, focusing on company analysis, modeling, statistics, accounting, financial modeling, data analysis, and coding.
  • Rotations: Two months of hands-on experience with investment teams or similar roles on the Point72 platform, allowing participants to apply their skills in real-world scenarios.
  • Networking Opportunities: Regular interactions with investment professionals, providing valuable mentorship and guidance throughout the program.
  • Career Advancement: Upon successful program completion, participants may have the opportunity to join an investing team as a full-time analyst, with the potential to become an equity research analyst at Point72.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Sophisticated Financial Models: Create detailed financial models to understand businesses and their changing dynamics.
  • Conduct Company Channel Checks: Engage with industry contacts, attend events, and analyze data sets to stay informed about market trends.
  • Build Relationships: Foster strong relationships with industry contacts, sell-side analysts, and research associates to gather insights and stay up-to-date on market developments.
  • Continuously Develop Skills: Receive coaching from Portfolio Managers and utilize Professional Development resources to enhance skills and knowledge.
