The institution offers a diverse array of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (MBA, MSc, MAcc, EMBA, MPhil, PhD) with a vibrant community of over 4,600 students, in addition to executive education opportunities.
It boasts one of the largest alumni networks in the region, comprising over 40,000 graduates worldwide.The DBA Programmes are highly selective, designed to attract senior executives and business leaders from substantial organizations in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, and beyond, who are interested in research initiatives.
The university seeks an experienced Executive Officer to collaboratively achieve the strategic objectives of the programme as part of a dedicated team.The successful candidate will be responsible for: (a) fostering, coordinating, and developing robust relationships with both academic and non-academic personnel, as well as other internal and external stakeholders regarding curriculum development, programme management, student advising and support, experiential and co-curricular activities, and various academic matters to ensure a quality learning experience for students; (b) planning and executing engagement activities for marketing, student recruitment, and enhancing the student-alumni network; (c) liaising with service providers and stakeholders, including corporations, business associations, prospective applicants, alumni, and others; (d) supporting daily operations and administration, along with financial and resource planning for the programmes; (e) providing guidance to programme administrative and teaching support staff; and (f) undertaking other ad-hoc duties as required.
Flexibility in working hours will be necessary, and occasional travel outside Hong Kong may be required.Candidates should possess: (i) a Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant experience in the business and education sectors; (ii) met the English language proficiency requirements outlined on the university's website; (iii) a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification executive and/or management experience, with experience in the higher education sector being advantageous; (iv) strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including high-level executives, business partners, prospective and current students, alumni, and other relevant stakeholders; (v) a self-motivated, collaborative, and well-organized work ethic, with a strong sense of ownership and leadership capabilities to ensure high-quality work, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently under pressure and tight deadlines; and (vi) an excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).
Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Executive Officer II. Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview and written assessment, as appropriate.Applicants must provide copies of certificates demonstrating their fulfillment of the language and academic qualifications specified above; otherwise, their applications will not be considered.
The appointment will initially be on a contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), commencing as soon as possible, and may be renewed subject to mutual agreement and satisfactory performance.
