M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. In Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District, we are building one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world, with a bold ambition to establish ourselves as one of the world’s leading cultural institutions. Our aim is to create a new kind of museum that reflects our unique time and place, a museum that builds on Hong Kong’s historic balance of the local and international to define a distinctive and innovative voice for Asia’s twenty-first century.

(This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.)

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Store Manager in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations of the main shops and pop-up stores.

  • Handling staff scheduling and deployment, ensuring high-quality customer service.

  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to foster brand loyalty.

  • Managing visual merchandising and maintaining inventory levels while controlling costs.

  • Collaborating with the Store Manager and other supervisors to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Overseeing cash handling procedures and ensuring transaction accuracy.

  • Initiating and collaborating on marketing promotions with relevant parties.

  • Undertaking ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.

You should:

  • Possess a recognized diploma or equivalent in any discipline.

  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in retail or customer service.

  • Proven track record in sales and meeting KPIs.

  • Detail-oriented, mature, independent, with excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

  • High level of commitment and ownership of responsibilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and other computer skills.

  • Availability to work on shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Fluent in both English and Chinese, with excellent oral and written communication skills
