Objectives/Purpose of the role
Meet Fosroc Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) targets zero Days Away from Work cases (DAWFC), zero High Potential Incidents (HIPO), zero Major Incidents (MI).
Manage a portfolio of Fosroc customers, as allocated, in such a way as to generate growth in sales, profits and cash collections.
Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with key persons at all levels within the organisation of allocated customers, in order to facilitate sales and cash collection.
Use all available opportunities for Fosroc to acquire new customers and specifiers.
Meet or exceed monthly / annual sales and gross profit targets for responsible areas and/or segments.
Maximise sales across the full Fosroc product range.
Participate in promotional activities, for new products or otherwise, as defined by Management.
Develop and maintain an understanding of the dynamics of the market and feedback all relevant intelligence to management.ResponsibilitiesTake personal responsibility for HSE for yourself, Fosroc stakeholders and other parties affected by our business. The scope of this includes, but is not limited to: personal conduct, product recommendations, and site activities.
Maximise sales across the full Fosroc product range to the entire customer portfolio.
Participate in sales and marketing initiatives, as defined by management.
Collect market intelligence, competitor intelligence, new product ideas/opportunities and feedback to the Management Team.
Continuously improve personal knowledge, experience and skills through formal / informal training, networking and coaching.
Compile timely and accurate sales forecasts, in the defined format.
Compile and maintain comprehensive Project Files, as a key risk management tool.
Agree appropriate payment terms with customers and take the lead in collecting cash, particularly overdue amounts, with assistance from the Credit Controller.
Proactively manage the balance between risk and opportunity, in terms of cost / price, collections, product / system recommendations, warranties, customer capabilities, long-term (> 6 months) price commitments. Document significant risk-management decisions in Project Files.Skills required1A basic understanding of construction site practices, materials and the concerns of people who work within the industry.
2Basic computer literacy MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
3The ability to be able to effectively communicate at all levels with people in the Fosroc customer community.
4A high standard of personal conduct and business ethics.
5At least 3 years working experience in the construction / building material industry.
6The ability to be able to effectively sell at all levels within the industry.
7A commitment to excellent customer service, via rigorous follow up on promised actions.
8Good command of both spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua) and English.
9Good time management and work prioritisation skills.
10Willing to travel to regularly within Greater China region (Mainland, Macau, Taiwan)Educational requirementsTertiary education or above.Job role notes
