The Undergraduate (UG) Programs Office of HKUST Business School is searching for a capable, self-motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Manager in the Student Development and Career Services Team. Reporting to the Assistant Director, the appointee will work together with the whole team and will mainly focus on the following areas:

Student Enrichment Activities: Work together with students and the team to plan and lead theBusiness CohortCommunityinorganizingenrichmentactivities;identifypotential student enrichment opportunities; implement existing/new enrichment activities and project‐based courses for students; work with internal units to provide support for student enrichment activities.

Career Development and Support: Provide career advice to UG business students; build positive and professionalrelationshipswithstudents/alumni;implement career development activities for students; workwithinternal unitstoprovide careersupportfor students; nurture existing relationships and maintain sustainable engagements with corporatepartners andemployers; work with Career Development Advisory Members to proactively reach out to companies to solicit career opportunities for students, summer internships and graduate positions; and as appropriate, match students to suit employers' job requirements.

Case Competitions: Plan and coordinate the logistics for HKUST International Case Competition organized by the School; support all the promotion and related application logistics for any other business‐related case competitions wheneverneeded.

Ad‐hoc Tasks: Demonstrate flexibility to lead and coordinate ad‐hoc tasks asassigned.

Applicants should have a good bachelor’s honors degree with at least seven years of post‐qualification work experience. The ideal candidate should be proactive and efficient; able to think strategically and excel in problem‐solving under minimal supervision. They should have good organizational and leadership skills and be able to communicate well with both external and internal units. Proven experience in event and project management will be preferred.

The appointee should have a strong passion in supporting youth development. An excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. Content management of webpage and image editing, and online social network know‐how would be an advantage. Assomeevents willbeheldintheeveningorduringweekends,workingoutsidenormal officehourswillbeexpected.OccasionaltravelsoutsideHongKongmayberequired. (Duration:2 years, renewable)

Applicants with less experience will be considered for an appointment as Assistant Manager.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable.A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
