Financial Professional for Undergraduate Program

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority invites highly motivated undergraduate students to apply for the Finance Cadetship Programme, a one-year internship designed to provide hands-on experience in various finance functions.
As a Finance Associate, you will be part of a dynamic team and work closely with experienced finance professionals to gain a comprehensive understanding of financial management, planning, and analysis.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reporting – Assist in processing journal entries, preparing supporting schedules for month-end closing, and contributing to year-end audit and annual report preparation;
- Financial Planning & Analysis – Support the preparation of financial reports and analysis, as well as budget and forecast development;
- Treasury – Process payments, manage deposit placements, update accounting records for bank transactions, prepare bank reconciliation, and assist in cashflow forecast and treasury reporting;
- Finance Operations – Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, prepare supporting schedules for month-end closing, and contribute to financial report and analysis preparation;
- Shared Services – Process revenue transactions from ticketing, venue hiring, and commercial leasing, and assist in compiling fixed assets register for around $18 billion worth of assets;
- Construction Accounting – Process payments, prepare supporting schedules to track construction costs against contract and budget, and assist in budget and forecast development.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline;
- A strong willingness to learn and excellent team spirit;
- Good Excel skills;
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and high learning agility with a growth mindset;
- Availability to work regularly for one full day or two half days per week at the WKCDA office;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese with excellent communication skills.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately HKD 28,000 – 35,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to gain valuable work experience and build their professional network in the finance industry.
