This role is an architect of colleague experience that drives performance excellence, focusing on embedding business-driving operating models, becoming a truly skills-based organization, and fostering inclusive and ambitious leadership and culture in service of excellence. You will work collaboratively and cross-functionally across business and HR Co Es, continuing to refine and execute the People Priorities in service of the business strategy and delivering our Group Ro TE commitments. To be successful, you will require demonstrable skills thriving in a fast-paced environment, operating in ambiguity, leveraging data to drive decision-making, excellent communication skills, solid professional confidence, and the ability to constructively challenge stakeholders and partners at all levels. RESPONSIBILITIESProvide strategic HR guidance and partnership with value seat holders in delivering business outcomes. Act as a key role within various functions and T&O HR Leadership Team, a squad member and potentially a co-Lead, working across the transversals on the functions & T&O People Plan value and enabling streams, providing thought leadership and oversight to the people work in support of the overall business strategy. Be accountable for landing the People Plan in service of the business strategy, working in close partnership with the respective Global HR Heads to drive the people agenda in a context-relevant manner. Identify, prioritize, and develop organizational capabilities and behaviors to build a workforce that is future-ready. Provide recommendations and HR leadership to the business in change management and organizational transformation initiatives. Business Bring deep knowledge of the business and broader global HR initiatives to strategically advise and partner with the business effectively. Effectively partner with, challenge, and influence business leaders to deliver optimal outcomes that balance immediate needs with longer-term horizons across the people agenda. Be a disruptor, driving culture change and delivering transformation. Partner with Co Es across the development and deployment of HR products and experiences, actively participating in HR delivering business-centric solutions. Contribute to the delivery of the business agenda in the country through appropriate alignment with the business as agreed in the country business plan to maximize and protect franchise value and resolve issues. Processes Identify areas for improvement in HR processes, providing feedback and escalating issues where appropriate to relevant Co Es to enhance client experience and improve productivity within HR. Provide guidance and review HR processes in accordance with Group HR standards to improve service and delivery. Ensure adequate crisis/disaster recovery contingent planning is undertaken and reviewed regularly for the HR function. People & Talent Champion and act as a role model of the Group's values and culture. Play an active role in developing and embedding a high-performance culture and in key talent decisions, including senior hiring. Support key functions and T&O heads by coaching in the performance of their duties and assisting to resolve or mitigate material country risks and issues. Ensure an integrated approach to people and talent management across the business and functions that facilitates cross-functional development as appropriate. Ensure a high-quality succession pipeline and succession plan at all levels of the country organization, working with the business and functions; sponsor ongoing development activities focusing on identified high-performing and high-potential individuals within the country. Ensure ongoing training and development of people, ensuring that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles, with effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks. Provide input into Fair Accountability reviews. Collaborate with HR colleagues to facilitate the internal movement of key talent. Employ, engage, and retain high-quality people. Maintain networks of external contacts to benchmark compensation practices against relevant comparator organizations and migrate best practices where appropriate. Ensure all employee-related policies, standards, and practices comply with both internal and external regulatory requirements, reflecting Group directions. Governance Regulatory conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements, including compliance with local banking laws, other applicable laws (e.g., laws governing securities activities, company law), and anti-money laundering regulation and guidelines. Regulatory & Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct. Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.
