This role involves overseeing the financial performance of a group or line of business within an organization. Key responsibilities include designing financial frameworks, partnering with finance teams, monitoring financial data, and developing performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement financial frameworks to effectively manage a health insurance business.
  • Partner with LBU Finance Teams to support efficient collection and reporting of health-specific financial data.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to assess the financial health performance of the group or LBU.
  • Develop and implement financial performance metrics and KPIs to track and measure key financial indicators.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes to support financial goals and objectives.
  • Support local Activity-Based Costing (ABC) initiatives for accurate expense allocations.

  • Identify risks and opportunities related to financial performance and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial management of a health insurance business.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, performance monitoring, and reporting within a corporate or financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business units.
